Cancel or Refund?
You can request a refund or cancel a payment by logging into your Inosio account and navigating to the Payment details section. Based on the current status of the payment, you will be able to either Cancel the payment or Request a refund from your Property Manager.
Cancel the payment if it is possible. This will prevent any funds from leaving your bank account or release the authorized payment on your card within 3-5 business days. Cancels can only be performed during the same business day that the payment was initiated on.

How to request a refund.
Refunds are only issued to residents when the Property Manager approves it. Inosio cannot approve a refund request without the Property Managers permission.
Log into your Inosio account and navigate to the Payment History > Payment Details screen. In the bottom left you will be able to 'Request a Refund'. Click the button. This will send a notification to your Property Manager letting them know that you've requested a refund for your payment.

What happens next?
Your Property Manager will be able to approve or deny your request. Either way you will be notified via email when the make a decision. If your request is approved you will be notified of the refund issue date - which is when funds will be released to your original payment method.
How long until I receive my money?
Based on when the payment was originated, what type of payment method was used, and when you request the refund the amount of time can change.
Guidelines & Examples:
ACH payments will be returned to the residents bank account on the 5th business day after the payment was originated at the earliest. This is to ensure that the payment does not return for insufficient funds or other return code.
- ACH Payment was made on Monday the 1st. Refund is approved Tuesday the 2nd. Refund will be issued to resident on Monday the 8th.
- ACH Payment was made on Monday the 1st. Refund is approved Tuesday the 9th. Refund will be issued to resident on Wednesday the 10th.
Card payments will be returned to the resident's payment card on the 2nd business day after the payment was originated.
- Card Payment was made on Monday the 1st. Refund is approved Tuesday the 2nd. Refund will be issued to resident on Wednesday the 3rd.
- Card Payment was made on Monday the 1st. Refund is approved Tuesday the 9th. Refund will be issued to resident on Wednesday the 10th.
A note on convenience fees.
Inosio convenience fees are not returned with refunds. If you're able to cancel a payment you will not be charged the convenience fee. However, once the payment has been executed beyond Inosio, the convenience fee will NOT be returned. There are real-world costs associated with all payments and refunds. The service was already rendered. No additional fees are charged for a refund, but only the amount submitted to the Property Manager will be returned.
